Between a new character and returning players, I'm doing another one of these! Meet my current girls.
Maeve Wiley
Sex Education | Student | 17 years old
Sex Education is that Netflix show you've probably heard about but never watched where Gillian Anderson plays the sex therapist mom to movie!Ender. It takes place in a small, nebulous British town called Moordale in roundabouts present day (if you ask me to narrow that down more the showrunners have ensured that I cannot do that), focusing on Otis (aka movie!Ender), who uses all the things he's learned thanks to his mother having nothing in the way of boundaries to run a sex clinic for the kids at his very Americanized school. Chaos ensues. It's a progressive, realistic take on sex and sexuality, the good and the bad and the omg so awkward, and I really wish I'd had the show when I was a teenager.
Maeve is Otis' partner in the clinic, the brains behind the operation and the one who's tracking down clients and dealing with the money. She's got this angry, defiant Harley Quinn thing going on at the moment, where you're just as likely to be greeted with middle fingers as with a hello, but a lot of it is an act. She smokes, she drinks, she shoplifts, there are rumors that her entire family is in prison, her nickname at school is "cockbiter" because of a made-up slut shaming incident that she decided to run with to keep people away from her.
In actuality, her father ditched out when she was little, her mother was an addict who ran off a while ago, her brother "dropped out of school to raise her" when really he was expelled for dealing drugs, and then he ran off without so much as a word and left Maeve on her own for months. She basically lives in the family's caravan (trailer) park on her own. She does not advertise this and is really ashamed of it all. She's also incredibly smart and a bookworm who really loves feminist literature, but she generally doesn't show that either. She was secretly writing other students' papers for money to pay rent at the expense of her own grades, even when it killed her to do so. Thus, sex clinic. She's an introvert who'd rather read than go to your parties, and for as much as she doesn't seem to care if you get close to her she will threaten to stab someone in the face for you. She might even do it. Don't test it.
Maeve is coming in to Fandom High after her brother showed back up randomly, negged her into breaking up with her boyfriend for being too good for her, sold drugs at the school dance to a kid who publicly threatened suicide, and then Maeve took the fall for the drugs instead of selling her brother out to the cops. Said brother then left again, while Maeve was expelled. However, she had an amazing teacher who believed in her and set her up with a school in America where she might be able to get a fresh start.
She'll also be getting a job or two to pay the rent on her trailer in case any of her family comes back again because I have a Type lately.
Rey
Star Wars | Townie | 20 years old
-From the current movie canon, currently between The Last Jedi and The Rise of Skywalker. Time moves slower at home because once I find a trope I like I abuse it to death.
-She's a pretty powerful baby Jedi who's here to get some training and help in figuring out her powers. From the former Darth Vader. I love it so much.
-She's also not hiding the Force user thing at all (the only person she needs to worry about a) isn't here and b) already knows everything about her), and wouldn't actually know how anyway. She healed the crystal in her lightsaber and repaired it, so she's walking around with one of those visible on her person these days.
-An orphan abandoned on a desert planet when she was five, and grew up entirely on her own, making a living as a scavenger.
-Kind of a mass of issues re: parents, abandonment, her place in the galaxy.
-Has a habit of imprinting on people she likes like a baby bird.
-Absolutely rules my brain right now. Not even sorry.
Kitty Pryde-Barton
X-Men comics | Teacher | 27 years old
-Mutant who can phase through solid matter. Her natural state is intangible and she stays solid through sheer force of will. She's open about it, and only uses things like doors to be polite sometimes.
-Is also pretty open about being a superhero, though she's currently not doing it right now.
-Somewhere … somewhere in canon right now. Post-AvX, pre- me doing anything else.
-Teacher during the school year.
-Runs Caritas the whole year round. Her shift is Tuesday.
-Married toso_hawkward, and their baby Lexi is gonna be two wtf.
-Easy to get along with, and also a little freaked out at just how used to the weirdness of the island she is.
Sabine Wren
Star Wars Rebels | Student | 17 years old
-Currently pre-canon, and unable to get to her own dimension. Already knows where she's going when she graduates.
-Mandalorian warrior and general badass. She has zero interest in going home right now, but she takes her culture very seriously.
-Artist, slowly but surely painting the town. And her room. And her commandeered warehouse. And… Also, if you want something painted, drop me a line. She's happy to make your stuff better.
-Demolitions and weapons expert. Probably has at least a small form of explosive on her right now. Said explosive is possibly painted.
-Unless otherwise stated, is always wearing her armor (usually sans helmet, unless she's fighting or doing something where she might need it). It's heavily modified so it's not a clunky suit, and it's super colorful.
-So is her hair. It changes a lot. Will probably change this week if I can get a post up.
-Basically she stands out.
-Has a decently traumatic past and a whole lot of trust issues. Won't talk about it to a degree that actually worries me a little.
Alexis Rose
Schitt's Creek | Student | 15 years old
-Very pre-canon.
-Spoiled rich princess whose family isn't keeping tabs on her so she does whatever, which means she bounces from place to place having adventures that end in way more kidnappings than you'd think.
-Her dad's a video store mogul and her mom's a soap opera actress so a lot of these adventures involve famous people.
-Showed up in January, got kidnapped by Krampus, tried to seduce him, didn't work, bounced around Europe with a Senator's son for a semester and came back to school.
-Her parents think she's been in Switzerland this whole time.
-Talks with a very affected vocal fry and lilts at the end of sentences, and has very pronounced facial expressions and mannerisms that I try very hard to get across.
-Will date all the boys, NPCs and PW guests. But only for a month, max. HMU.
Jaye Tyler
Wonderfalls | Teacher | 24 years old
-Started at Fandom High in 2005. Is now 24.
-I started putting her through canon five years ago and then kinda dropped it, oops, so now we're saying there's some time wonky something or other happening.
-Inanimate objects called muses talk to her and tell her to do things. If she doesn't listen, bad things happen. If you want some interference or help in making your character do things, hit me up, as long as it ends in something good happening.
-You cannot hear the muses.
-A couple people have found out about it in her time on island, but it's not common knowledge. You may see her talking to her purse or random animal objects and react to that, though.
-Otherwise a slacker from upstate New York who works retail and lives in a trailer because she likes disappointing her family, though she's beginning to not like being a disappointment.
Janet Kim
Kim's Convenience | Student | 17 years old
-A totally normal girl from a totally normal Toronto.
-Her Korean immigrant parents run a convenience store where Janet works (for free), and after her older brother Jung got into trouble with the law and left home, Janet got alllll the parenting and had to be the good kid.
-She finally managed to con her way into a new American summer school and stayed because freedom.
-Is going to go to school to become a photographer in a few years. Right now it's an interest.
-Accidentally called the King of Wakanda a furry once.
-Works at Turtle and Canary on Saturdays, and no her parents don't know.

-Post-Legends canon, in the wilds of me writing brand new stuff for her.
-Graduated from Fandom High, now living full time in the ol' GFFA.
-Jedi Master. Super earned it. Not giving up the title even though she's not on the Council anymore.
-Married Jag Fel, and Imperial who became Emperor for the greater good even though they really didn't want that. Soooo she's an Empress now.
-She and her Tahiri are currently wrapping up their first year of starting the Imperial Knights.
-Is mom to three-year-old twins Dax and Daniel.

-Because Empress of the Galactic Triumvirate a year and a half ago, and has spent the time since trying to rebuild a galaxy and revamp the parts of her Empire that don't work anymore.
-Great-granddaughter ofsolo_sword and SUPER GRATEFUL FOR THE EMPRESS THING, GRANDMA THANKS A LOT.
-An Imperial Knight, which means she has the powers of a Jedi but will give you a Look if you call her one.
-Has a distinctive white streak in her hair, despite the icons.
-Yet her posture I think comes across in them.

-Living in the Chicago area on CST, but my heart is in LA.
-As is my computer clock, I've never changed it. Fun fact.
-I'm around most of the day though my job can get extremely busy so I might drop into SP without warning.
